Each image will be exactly 1920 × 1080 pixels. Leave one side blank to keep each image's shape.

    How it works

Enter the width and height you need, or pick a common size, then choose your images. Each one is drawn again at exactly that many pixels in your browser and saved as a new file. Leave one side blank to set only the width or only the height; the other side follows each image's own shape.

When an image has a different shape from the size you asked for, it can be cropped to fill the frame (you choose which part to keep), fitted inside it with a white, black or transparent border, or stretched. Cropping and borders never distort the picture.

For prints, enter the size in inches, centimetres or millimetres with a resolution such as 300 DPI. The tool works out the pixels (8.5 × 11 inches at 300 DPI is 2550 × 3300) and writes the resolution into JPEG and PNG files, so they print at that size.

If a form also limits the file size, tick the size box: JPEG and WebP files are then saved at the highest quality that fits, without changing the pixels. To make a file smaller without a set pixel size, use compress an image to a target size.

    Questions

    How do I resize a photo to 1920 × 1080?

Pick Full HD 1920 × 1080 or type the two numbers, then choose your photo. If it isn't 16:9, choose whether to crop it to fill the frame, fit it inside with a border, or stretch it. Download it once the new size is shown.

How do I crop an image to a square?

Set the same width and height, such as 1080 × 1080, and keep Crop to fill selected. The edges that don't fit are trimmed; choose whether to keep the centre, the top or left, or the bottom or right.

How many pixels is 8.5 × 11 inches?

At 300 DPI, 2550 × 3300 pixels. Choose Letter, or enter the size in inches, centimetres or millimetres with a resolution, and the tool works out the pixels and writes the resolution into JPEG and PNG files.

Can I resize an image and keep it under a file size?

Yes. Tick Keep each file under a size and enter the limit: JPEG and WebP files are saved at the highest quality that fits, and the pixel size stays as set.

    Limits

Opens images up to 50 MB and 100 megapixels, 20 at a time. JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF and AVIF work in current browsers; HEIC photos open only in Safari. The new size can be up to 16,384 pixels on a side and 16.7 megapixels in all, the largest that phones can draw. Animated GIFs keep only their first frame.

Making an image larger can't add detail, so enlarged images look soft. Saving again removes hidden details such as the camera and location, and the colour profile, so colours from wide-gamut cameras can look slightly duller. WebP files don't carry a print resolution.

Cropping keeps the centre, the top or left, or the bottom or right; it doesn't look for faces. Check the preview before you download.
