Merge PDF

Combine several PDFs into one, in the order you choose, with only the pages you want. Locked PDFs too, and nothing is uploaded.

  • Runs in your browser
  • Nothing is uploaded
  • Free, no sign-up

or drop them here. Up to 50 PDFs of 100 MB each. Nothing is uploaded.

    How it works

Choose two or more PDFs and their pages are joined into one PDF, in the order shown. Drag the files or use the arrows to change the order, sort them by file name, and remove the ones you don't want. Under each file you can list the pages to include, like 1-3, 5; leave it empty for all of them.

Pages are copied as they are, with their text, fonts, images and links, so they keep their quality, and text you could search or copy before still can be. Links from one page to another keep working when both pages are in the merged PDF. Each file gets a bookmark at its first page, with the file's own bookmarks under it. The merged PDF is written again in your browser after every change, so the download always matches the list.

To turn photos or scans into a PDF first, use the JPG to PDF converter, then merge the result here.

    Questions

How do I merge PDF files into one?

Choose your PDFs or drop them on the page, put them in the order you want, then press Download PDF. The pages of the first file come first, and nothing is uploaded.

Can I merge only some pages, or change the page order?

Yes. Under each file, type the pages to include, like 1-3, 5. Pages go in the order you type them, so 5-1 puts a file's pages in reverse. Drag the files, or use the arrows, to change which file comes first.

Is it safe to merge PDFs online?

Here the PDFs never leave your device: they are read and merged by your browser, and the page works offline once loaded. That suits contracts, statements and other private documents.

    Can I merge password-protected PDFs?

Yes. A PDF that opens without a password but blocks printing or copying is added as it is. For a PDF that needs a password to open, type the password under it. The merged PDF has no password.

    Limits

Opens up to 50 PDFs of 100 MB each. A merge holds every file in memory, so on a phone keep very large batches to a few hundred pages. Damaged PDFs that your PDF reader repairs on the fly may not open here.

The merged PDF doesn't keep file attachments or the documents' titles and authors. Form fields keep what is typed in them, but may no longer be fillable, and bookmarks or links to pages you left out lead nowhere. Restrictions on printing or copying set in the original files are not carried over, and the merged PDF has no password.

    Privacy

This tool runs entirely in your browser. The files you open and what you type are never sent to a server, and nothing is stored after you close the page. See the privacy page.
